Sabrina McCranels is an artist from Lake Worth, Florida, and a recent graduate of Florida Atlantic University. After receiving her BFA in Studio Arts she’s continued to develop her practice through oil painting on semi-unconventional surfaces, exploring our emotional complexities of interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships. She pulls from her environment as the ocean meets the swamp and the created estuaries begins questions of togetherness. Engaging in contemporary themes of permanence and impermanence, manipulation and transparency, and resilience. Their work functions as a meditation on unseen forces that govern human connection, inviting viewers into reflection, intimacy, and the possibility of reconnection.
